Community vs. Corporate energy production
This is the second half of Bill Resnick's talk with clean energy activist, Al Weinrub. The first half played last week. They discussed community energy, which are networks of small scale networked solar and wind installations all over the city and connected by the existing electric grid. It can be run democratically. It can replace big expensive corporate energy. This second half interview explores how groups and communities are attempting to develop community energy and the barriers they face.

Al Weinrub is a physicist, coordinates the Bay Area Local Clean Energy Alliance, and wrote the book, "Community Power: Decentralized Clean Energy in California".
