Twenty-five years ago Apogee Software released Duke Nukem, a sci-fi themed side-scroller (think Mario with a gun) starring a titular lead character that looked not unlike Arnold Schwarzenegger. Its true popularity didn’t come until 1996’s Duke Nukem 3D, a first-person shooter that played like Doom with an attitude. Let’s experience Duke’s saga through the soundtrack of his life from humble PC beginnings to the original Sony PlayStation and beyond.

On today’s program:

  • Kiss The Girls And Make Them Cry - Duke Nukem II (DOS) (Bobby Prince)
  • Grab Bag - Duke Nukem 3D (DOS) (Bobby Prince)
  • Missing? Impossible! - Duke Nukem 3D Atomic Edition (DOS) (Lee Jackson)
  • Ancient Rome - Duke Nukem: Time to Kill (PSX) (Lee Jackson)
  • Liberty or Death - Duke Nukem: Zero Hour (N64) (Lee Jackson)
  • Space Bay - Duke Nukem: Land of the Babes (PSX) (Lee Jackson)
  • Porkchopper - Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project (PC) (Darren Mohle)
  • What Happens in Vegas - Duke Nukem: Critical Mass (DS) (Arkadiusz Reikowski)
  • Octaking - Duke Nukem Forever (PC) (Eric Von Rothkirch)
