A podcast featuring audio drama, dark comedy, & other unexpected vignettes from Corvallis & beyond.
This is episode 10 of The Spirit of the Forest, an audio drama / dark comedy created by Oregon resident Dan Crall, which reflects upon the sadness, absurdity, and normalcy of modern life.

This episode features various encouraging words from a drunk, belligerent young man who dialed the wrong number, a discussion with a woman riding the pedicab who claimed to be having a menopausal meltdown, a campfire chat about life at Little Cultus Lake in Oregon's Cascade Mountains, more fun with wrong numbers, a visit to a sweat lodge at the Umatilla Indian Reservation in North Central Oregon, and we hear a foreign news broadcast remembering the life of a budding legend in the world of stand up comedy who died too young.

Featuring the voices of Dan Crall, Sandi, John Knight, Lakaw Koots Poo, Matthew Unotoo, various unknown callers, and voices from Dan Crall's work "Rural Isolation," as well as music from Yen Pox, Parallax, Vladimir Ussachevsky, this episode was recorded in various locations and times around Oregon, completed in mid April 2015.
