Hi gang,

Putting out this script of Cesaire's amazing poem which I recommend strongly that you read.  But just a few lines in and you will realize that this poem requires a black voice(s) with perhaps some black musicians adding accompaniment.

I am in the process of trying to track down a black male (or mixed-sex black voices w/male lead) who hopefully knows some musicians with whom he would be comfortable working.  But if any of you out there know of possible prospects please reach out.  I very much want to have this on the show.  It bites down hard!

There is also a small collection of notes which explain some of the words in the poem, and after watching my own and the proofreader's reaction to some of the text, I figure I should type that up next to help any potential performer(s) as well as for those of you who decide to seriously explore this poem.
