Please join us for Transpositive PDX on Tuesday, May 3rd on KBOO Community Radio as we talk with Marci Grace Frederic, Nicolette Sandra James, Carer Lee and therpaist Shannon Batts about the topic of sexual abuse and domestic violence in the trans and non binary community.  Within the LGBTQ community, transgender people face the most alarming rates of sexual violence.  The 2015 U.S. Transgender Survey found that 47% of transgender people are sexually assaulted at some point in their lifetime.  We will have a frank discussion with three survivors of sexual abuse and domestic violence and how those experiences motivated these survivors to work for change.

Transpositive is a biweekly program in Portland exploring themes important to those who identify as Transgender, Gender Non-Binary, and Gender Non-Conforming. Transpositive tries to connect listeners with the ongoing activist, arts, culture, and dialogue happening in Portland and beyond. Make your voice heard! Transpositive PDX is open to new and experienced programmers, guests, and events you want our community to know about. We are an open collective. Anyone identify as trans, gender non-binary, gender fluid is welcome to be part of our collective after completing some basic free radio training.
