John de Graaf and Greg Hamilton screen documentaries about western history
Seattle-based documentarian John de Graaf came to prominence with the film and book series Affluenza, a critique of the consumerism and materialism that plagues American communities and the global environment. He’s now the Executive Director of Take Back Your Time and co-founder of The Happiness Initiative. His most recent film Stewart Udall: The Politics of Beauty profiles our country's most transformational Secretary of the Interior.
We also talk with filmmaker and archivist Greg Hamilton about the 1978 documentary Fast Break, an intimate profile of the Portland Trailblazers team that shocked the sports world with a come-from-behind victory in the NBA finals.
