A collector of analog films sets out to share his archive with the world
Skip Elsheimer has filled up a ten-bedroom house in his hometown of Raleigh with his collection of 30,000 16mm films, which he screens online for viewers every weekday. His channel, AV Geeks, celebrates all the earnestness and weirdness of 20th-century educational and industrial media.
In addition to his YouTube and Facebook presence, Skip travels the country to host live 16mm film events, advise collectors on preservation techniques, and promote amateur film gatherings like Home Movie Day.
