Film Action Oregon's new directors talk about the changes at the Hollywood Theatre
Doug Whyte, Film Action Oregon's new executive director, shares his visions for community-based programming at Portland's Hollywood Theatre. Doug is joined by Dan Halsted, curator of the Grindhouse Film Festival and PIFF After Dark, who's been named head programmer of Film Action Oregon. Dan tells the story of uncovering a treasure trove of classic kung-fu movies in an abandoned cinema. Plus, we pay a visit to Animate It!, a local filmmaking workshop for children.
