On Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at 11.30am Joseph Gallivan interviews Marjorie Ridgeway and Jamie Cathey about their work on show at the new gallery Ridgeway Studio and Gallery. Ridgeway talks about setting up the gallery in June and using it to showcase her own work in acrylics and prints, and Cathey talks about her analog collage and her exploration of themes around womenhood and power.

RIDGEWAY STUDIOS & GALLERY OPENS IN NW PORTLAND.

MARJORIE RIDGEWAY STARTS AN APPROACHABLE ART GALLERY AIMED AT SUPPORTING LOCAL EMERGING ARTISTS.

Portland, Oregon; July 2023. Lake Oswego resident Marjorie Ridgeway has opened Ridgeway Studios & Gallery at 1720 NW Lovejoy, Suite #101 in Portland, Oregon. Ridgeway is an artist and designer who is passionate about creating art, making it accessible, and supporting local artists. Currently, the gallery features her original acrylic paintings, illustrations, and jewelry. The gallery will host monthly First Thursday artists beginning July 6th and will be open to the public as an open studio on a regular basis.

 

The gallery is already booked through December 2023 for monthly First Thursday artists; however applications are still being accepted via ridgewaystudioshop.com for future events and opportunities.
