Getting a jump on the 2024 Election Season. Brother Promise King offers an inept analysis of communities of color, their needs and the ability to address their concerns with prospective candidates and the electoral processes.
Join hosts Tina Turner-Morfitt and Dr. Audrey Terrell for the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists segment of Labor Radio. Our guest is Brother Promise King, the founder, and Executive Director of Oregon League of Minority Voters. Brother King addresses the needs of communities of color and strives to educate them on local policies that govern their communities. The mission of OLMV goes far beyond voter registration and encouraging them to participate in the voting process. Their mission is to broaden an overall perspective of how government works, so that they may vote in accordance with their specific needs.
