Professor Spruha Joshi, PhD, MPH is one of the co-authors of a research article published September 27 in the journal JAMA Psychiatry entitled “One-Year Association of Drug Possession Law Change With Fatal Drug Overdose in Oregon and Washington.” We speak with Doctor Joshi and one of her co-authors, Haven Wheelock, MPH, Harm Reduction Services Manager at Portland-area nonprofit Outside In, about their research, harm reduction, and preventing deaths due to toxins in the unregulated drug supply and drug overdose.
