On this week's edition of Prison Pipeline: A 'Kinder, Gentler' Drug War And Other Lies: #Reform2023 Highlights Part One.

The Drug Policy Alliance held its 2023 biennial international Reform conference over the weekend of Oct. 19-22. Over a thousand activists, advocates, organizers, researchers, and others were in attendance discussing human rights, harm reduction, the criminal legal system, and of course drug policies around the world. Prison Pipeline Collective member Doug McVay attended online and brought back several hours of fascinating, thought-provoking content to share with listeners. This edition of Prison Pipeline features Dayana Blanco Acendra, General Director, ILEX Acción Jurídica, Bogotá, Colombia, and Zara Snapp, Director, Instituto RIA, Coatepec, Mexico, on Drug War Reparations in a Global Context; and UCSF Professor Paula Lum, MD, MPH, and Joyce McMillan, Executive Director of JMACforFamilies in New York, NY, on The Lure of Coercion.

Part two of #Reform2023 Highlights airs on the October 25, 2023 edition of Century of Lies, Righting Wrongs Worldwide - #Reform2023 Highlights Part Two.
