Morton Subotnick

A birthday salute to electronic music pioneer Morton Subotnick (ninety years young). Using analog signal modules (little boxes, lots of wires) Subotnick created an epic array of cool, dry, and sympatico synthesizer pieces with lovely names (Silver Apples of the Moon, Four Butterflies, A Sky of Cloudless Sulphur, &c). Tonight we have a fantastic piece called Sidewinder (sssss) and other short works to fill out an hour.
