This week on Century of Lies: Psychedelics and PTSD Treatment.

The Reagan-Udall Foundation for the Food and Drug Administration is a nonprofit organization that was created by Congress to advance the mission of the FDA. The Foundation held a meeting recently entitled “Advancing Treatments for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder” to discuss efforts to accelerate the development of treatments for PTSD, including psychedelic therapies.

On this edition of Century we hear from some of the speakers including Paula Schnurr, PhD, Executive Director of the National Center for PTSD at the Department of Veterans Affairs; Miriam J. Smyth, PhD, Acting Director of the Clinical Science Research and Development Service at the Department of Veterans Affairs; Leith J States, MD MPH MBA, Deputy Director of the Office of Science and Medicine and Chief Medical Officer to the Assistant Secretary for Health, in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health at the US Department of Health and Human Services; Michael Abrams, MPH, PhD, a senior researcher in Public Citizen’s Health Research Group; Nese Devenot, PhD, a senior lecturer in the Johns Hopkins University Writing Program; and Robert Grant, MD, MPH.
