This week on Century of Lies: Decriminalizing and Decolonizing Coca.
The nations of Colombia and Bolivia held an event at the United Nations in New York on November Seventh to challenge the negative connotation attributed to the coca plant. The event was entitled "Beyond Declassification: Detoxifying Narratives Around the Coca Leaf.”
On this edition of Century we hear from two of the speakers: His Excellency Ambassador Diego Pary, Permanent Representative of Bolivia to the UN, and Kasia Malinowska, DrPH, Director of Drug Policy at Open Society Foundations.
