Welcome to ABSI: Advancing Black Strategists Initiative

Join host Dr. Audrey Terrell and Tina Turner-Morfitt in welcoming Brother Sherman Henry back on the airwaves of the Pacific Northwest. Brother Sherman Henry, a former University of Oregon LERC Career Faculty member, is a consummate educator, who currently serves as Director of the Labor Institute for Advancing Black Strategists in partnership with Clark Atlanta University and Jobs with Justice. The result of ABSI focuses on the legacy of Southern Black workers who demonstrated a long history of forming unions and of pressing their demands for justice. The program moves paper policies, designed to educate and motivate Southern workers, to the pavement engaging them to build power at work and in our communities to address their needs.
