A new museum dedicated to comics and animation is opening up in Portland's Park Blocks

San Francisco has one, New York has one, Brussels has one, and now a group of artists and academics is fixing to open a cartoon arts museum in downtown Portland.  We'll talk with Dr Mike Rosen, Board Chair of the Northwest Museum of Cartoon Arts, along with award-winning comics artist and writer Farel Dalrymple, about the long-awaited opening of a space to celebrate the Pacific Northwest's diverse comics and animation cultures.

We'll also talk with Oscar-nominated animator Bill Plympton, who is coming to Portland to screen two new films at the Clinton Street Theater: the Oregon-themed feature film Slide and the comical animated short Duckville.
