Carol Tyler is a painter, educator, and award-winning cartoonist whose books include Soldier’s Heart: The Campaign to Understand My WWII Veteran Father; Late Bloomer; and The Ephemerata: Shaping the Exquisite Nature of Grief. Her work has been featured in the comics anthologies Wimmen’s Comix, Twisted Sisters, and Drawing Power: Women’s Stories of Sexual Violence, Harassment, and Survival.
Along with husband and fellow cartoonist Justin Green, Carol has been the subject of the documentary film “Married to Comics.” And the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library and Museum in Columbus, Ohio, is currently hosting the exhibition “Write It Down, Draw It Out: The Comics Art of Carol Tyler.”
