OCCUPY THE POST OFFICE
The Postmaster General has announced the imminent closure of 41 rural post offices in Oregon. The PMG claims the postal service must shrink due to its financial crisis, but he is restricted by law from closing post offices for "economic reasons". The Rural Organizing Project has stepped up to fight back. KBOO labor reporter Jamie Partridge was in front of the Scappoose Post Office on December 19th, the day ROP organized to OCCUPY THE POST OFFICE.
