Essay reading on zombies, worker-rebellion and how capitalism "zombifies" us.
The zombie apocalypse is not a new cultural craze for Americans, but its recent resurgence during the Great Recession deserves some scrutiny for the way it invokes the lost figure of the zombie-worker. That's what David McNally (mis-announced as Daniel) argues in an article from Jacobin Magazine called "Zombie: apocalypse or rebellion?", read here by Joe Clement.
