How carbon-free energy can be produced and managed locally.
In Part 3 of the Old Mole's two-hour special program on climate change, we turn to who will own and control the new forms of carbon-free energy. John Farrell is the Directory of Democratic Energy at the Institute for Local Self-Reliance, and has written widely on how individuals, families, schools, and communities can produce and determine how to use the energy they produce, rather than giving control of it to big corporations. Here he talks the Old Mole's Bill Resnick about the many social, political and environmental virtues of locally produced and democratically managed energy.
