Oregon AFL-CIO Convention, 2015
Oregon's largest union federation, the AFL-CIO, representing over 100,000 workers, held a convention in Seaside the weekend of Oct. 23 - 25.  Labor Radio co-host Jamie Partridge, a delegate for the letter carriers union, interviews fellow delegates Amanda Hill of the nurses union, Tina Turner-Morfitt of AFSCME and the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists, and Anne McDonnell of the laborers about the debate which resulted in endorsement of a $15 minimum wage ballot initiative.  Partridge also talks with Wyatt McMinn of the painters and Rebecca Lewis of the stagehands about their resolution advocating direct action and strike action to battle anti-worker, right-to-work forces.
