Out Loud queer culture radio show

Our first guests tonight hope to make you laugh out loud. We welcome comics Belinda Carroll  and Erin Foley to the show. Among other things, Belinda shares updates from the Oregon Coast Pride. You can catch Erin performing comedy in Portland in October.

Next, on a more serious note, we welcome Robin Will to the show. Robin is involved with the Gay & Lesbian Archives of the Pacific Northwest. We'll discuss GLAPAN's upcoming event where queer historians explore the 'Untold History of Portland', happening on Sept 9. GLAPN's Pat Young is one of three panelists appearing in the Oregon Encyclopedia's program entitled, "100 Years Ago But Not So Far Away: Exploring Portland's 1912 Homosexual Controversy and Exploring Its Legacy." The program will explore consequences of Portland's 1912 Vice Clique scandal, in which 68 men were eventually involved in a "scandal" that involved nothing more than consensual sex. The event takes place Monday, September 9, 2013, 7:00-9:00pm, at McMenamins Mission Theater, 1624 NW Glisan St.

Music featured by Silk & Olive, a Portland electronic music maker.
