Hailing from the bass factory of San Francisco, WALA blends a sexy, worldly quality into the scintillating sounds of Glitch-Hop and Dubstep. She takes dancefloors on a kinetic journey from massive crunk to cultured Bhangra, and every planetary highway in-between. Fueled by a passion to encourage others to engage with music on an emotional level and possessing an arsenal of seven spoken languages, she has developed an eclectic musical style infused with Indian percussion, heavy bass, and glitched middle-eastern samples.
WALA has shared the stage with the likes of Minnesota, Freq Nasty, ill.Gates, GRiZ, Gramatik, Marty Party and more. She has performed at festivals such as Electronic Forest, Lightning in a Bottle, Symbiosis, Envision, Burning Man (setting a personal record of 17 sets in five days in 2012), and many others across the globe.
