Seed Breeding, Composting, Serving Breakfast for Children and "My Organic Life" memoir
We have an interview with chef Nora Pouillon, who's Restaurant Nora was the first restaurant in the United States to be certified organic.  She recently wrote and released her memoir "My Organic Life."  She also told a story about a time she tried to buy unadulterated beef, which you can listen at Underground Airwaves.  We also have an interview with Ahjamu Umi, organizer for the All African People's Revolutionary Party, who started a free breakfast program in North Portland this past April.  We'll also hear from Jim Myers about seed breeding research at Oregon State University, along with a piece from Mitch Cruzan, professor at Portland State Universtity discussing hybridization and genetic engineering.  We'll speak with Arianne Sperry coordinator for Portland Recycles! to learn a bit about Portland's curbside composting program.
