Know Your Rights in Education
If community characteristics are strongly associated with student achievement, then efforts to improve student performance must focus on the community as a whole, not just on the school. That's what's on the agenda at tonight's Portland Parents Union Meeting.
The union is a grassroots group offering Know Your Rights trainings every third Thursday of the month. We’re speaking with founder, Sheila Warren, about tonight’s education topic: Know Your Rights in Education. The talk runs 6-9 pm at the Concordia University Library.
