Happy Holidays From Grateful Dead & Friends Featuring Begonia Studios Presents!
Greetings, Fellow Space Travelers! Welcome to the Holiday Season! On this edition of Grateful Dead & Friends, we will be exploring the first ever live performance of Phil Lesh & Friends performed at The Berkeley Community Theater September ninth, 1994. This ground breaking show was the first known Phil Lesh & Friends configuration that would blossum into the Phil and Friends shows that we hear to this very day, difference being that it was actually Grateful Dead et all performing acoustically! Lots to hear and enjoy! After Phil, we will go back to the year 1971 to attend a performance of Grateful Dead at Terminal Island Correctional Facility, San Pedro, California. This show was a benefit for the late Owsley Stanley, whom at the time was a Guest of the State at this facility. These selections are deadicated to the Brothers and Sisters who are not enjoying freedom on this Thanksgiving Weekend. Hello to you all at Salem, Snake River; any and all Deadheads in the lockup this Thanksgiving weekend! we hope this episode of Grateful Dead And Friends brings comfort to you all. We'll see you on the radio!
