We present: "The last five CDs I bought," having in common, dull gray covers. Packaging aside, imagine hearing a piano concerto by Beat Furrer, a "jazz" trio with Thurston Moore and Mat (Die NOW!) Gustafsson, the murky guitar of Christian Fennesz, some oddity called Brothomstates (?), the world's loudest drones (bagpipes are involved) with the Zeitkratzer Grand Orchestra (you won't sleep for a week). At the opposite end of the spectrum, Ingrid Lee's "monster music", a triple pianissimo fern garden of sound, matched only by a short piece by Morton Feldman, equally inaudible. And for the polychromatic among you, a blast of classical thievery by Noah Creshevsky.
