A discussion about “Bridging The Gap” between blood donations and Sickle Cell Anemia.

Join hosts Tina Turner-Morfitt, Dr. Audrey Terrell, Ms. Deborah Hall in a discussion with Charletta Malone, an Executive Associate in the Medical Department. Sister Malone is also a member of the American Red Cross Umoja  Steering Committee and the coordinator of the Dr. Charles Drew Blood Drive. This year marks the 12th drive. Sister Malone is a 28 year career employee with the American Red Cross. Our discussion will highlight the importance of keeping Sickle Cell Anemia in the forefront of conversations.  Our segment “Bridging the Gap” between blood donations and Sickle Cell Anemia will address the continued need for testing, education and a consistent flow of donors.
