Hi there, Phil G here. Tune in theis Friday, 7/28, for a 90 minute special focused around the first official release from the Owsley Stanley Foundation: Doc and Merle Watson, Never the Same Way Once. Owsley Stanley, AKA Bear, was known for many things, one of them is being a founding father of modern professional audio; both live sound and recording techniques. Join us on a special Forests of Fennario version of the SongCircle as we interview Hawk, the Executive Producer of Bear's Sonic Journals and discuss, among other things, this release, previous recordings done by Bear (including the legendary Bluegrass Album "Old & In The Way"), and a few hints at what is coming.

We'll be playing some tasty treats from the 7 CD box set, as well as some other classic Bear recordings. Thanks for listening!
