World premiere recordings or works for gamelan by the late American composer
In conjunction with the Lou Harrison centenary this year, Portland's own Venerable Showers of Beauty Gamelan released a CD of seven pieces by Lou - works which have never before been recorded. This edition of A Different Nature features VSB's Lou Harrison CD Cherish, Consider, Conserve, Create. It's KBOO's Fall Membership Drive for 2017, and the CD will be available as a thank-you gift to new and renewing members. In addition, one copy of the recently published biography by Bill Alves & Brett Campbell: Lou Harrison: American Musical Maverick will be offered.
