Today on One Land Many Voices, we have a two-part show for you: in the first half, we'll speak with the creator of the new film “Radiance of Resistance”. The film is told through the eyes of two young journalists. Janna Ayyad (11) and Ahed Tamimi (15). This film just won Best Documentary at the 2017 Respect Human Rights Film Festival in Belfast Ireland.
In the second half of the show, we speak with Algerian-American cartoonist Khalil Bendib, who will be speaking at two events in Portland this weekend to promote his new book about Edward Snowden and whistleblowing.
Both events will be held at the First Congregational Church in downtown Portland at 1126 Southwest Park Avenue in Portland.
Saturday at 7 pm will be a reception and meet-and-greet with the artist, and at 3 pm Sunday he will give a lecture called ‘The Pen is Mightier than the Sword’.
Khalil Bendib is a Berkeley, CA-based award-winning cartoonist published in numerous small and mid-sized newspapers across the USA, as well as in The Black Commentator and various other online publications.
