KBOO Radio began in 1968. 2018 marks 50 years of on-air programming.
Join host Barbara Bernstein  and guests Carol Mazer (program director in the mid 70s), Vicki Stoppiello (board president in the late 70s and station manager in the early 80s, who engineered and nurtured the move from Yamhill Street to our current studio on SE 8th) and Maureen Key (board member in the late 70s and board president in the early 80s, who initiated KBOO’s first personnel policy). We’ll talk about the ground-breaking role that women played in instigating significant changes at KBOO that transformed the station from a boy’s club to the diverse community organization that it is today.
