Guests Lew Church, Sally Fronsman-Cecil and Dorothy Holland join Paul in the studio

Joining host Paul Roland in the KBOO studio this morning will be: Lew Church, Coordinator of the Panthers in Portland; Sally Fronsman-Cecil, long-time social justice and Nestle Boycott organizer, who recently moved back to Oregon from Kansas; and Dorothy Holland, a 70-year-old Vietnam veteran who has experienced homelessness and is fighting for the tenants in her building against a corporate landlord.

The Gray Panthers were originally founded in 1970 by Maggie Kuhn, in response to the marginalization of older people in the workplace, in the media and in public policy. In Portland, Bobby Gary, along with now-Senator Ron Wyden, were Gray Panther organizers in the 70's and 80's.

A renewed Portland Gray Panther chapter is now organizine on housing, health care, public transit, gun control and rent control.
