Fracking Rig

Last May the Permanent Peoples' Tribunal, an internationally recognized Civil Society public opinion tribunal functioning independently of state authorities, held a special session in Corvallis, Oregon, on the human rights impacts of fracking and climate change

On this episdode of Locus Focus we’ll hear a keynote speech delivered by Sandra Steingraber at this tribunal session. In this speech Sandra provides possibly the best description available of fracking and its impacts on the health of our communities and watersheds. Sandra is an environmental writer and research biologist, who has led the fight against fracking in New York State. This speech was recorded at the Whiteside Theater in Corvallis, Oregon on May 14, 2018.
