Drug laws have changed yet the drug war continues

This week on Prison Pipeline, Doctor Dominic Corva with the Center for the Study of Cannabis and Social Policy joins host Doug McVay to look at the current state of the drug war.

Several states, including Oregon, Washington, and California, have moved in recent years to change their drug laws in order to regulate the marijuana business. Adult social use of marijuana is legal, so why are people still protesting? The sad reality is that prohibition is still the rule in those states, particularly for women, young people, people of color, the poor, and the disenfranchised, even when it comes to marijuana policy.

To learn more about this, Prison Pipeline Collective member Doug McVay speaks with Dominic Corva, PhD, founder and executive director of the Center for the Study of Cannabis and Social Policy.
