Alicia Jo Rabins is a poet, musician and teacher of Torah. She received the American Poetry Review/Honickman First Book Prize for Divinity School in 2015; her new book, Fruit Geode, was published in 2018 by Augury Books. Rabins created and performed Girls in Trouble, an indie-folk song cycle about women in the Torah, and A Kaddish for Bernie Madoff, a one-woman show about finance and spirituality. She has an MFA in poetry from Warren Wilson and has received fellowships and awards from Bread Loaf and Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. Alicia is a plant lover, coffee drinker, and ritualist. She lives in Portland with her husband, bass player Aaron Hartman, and their two children.
