CCR bassist talks to The Songcircle about Woodstock memories and more

This week, we're very pleased to be speaking with a founding member of one of the finest ensembles of all time, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and still bassist today with the band that honors their legacy on the road, Creedence Clearwater Revisited - though Stu Cook and original drummer Doug Clifford claim they'll no longer be touring after this year. (They perform at the Ilani resort in Ridgefield, WA next Thursday, June 20.) Among other things, we'll ask Stu about his memories of Woodstock, now that CCR's unreleased performance from the festival is finally being issued this summer on its 50th anniversary, discuss his work with the recently departed Roky Erickson, among others, and find out what it's like carrying the flame of some of the greatest songs ever written.

NOTE: Due to unavoidable circumstances, this week's The Songcircle starts halfway through the recording below.
