Host Norm Diamond talks with historian Raymond Caballero about Caballero's new book McCarthyism vs Clinton Jencks, as well as more about "Salt of the Earth," the film reviewed in the previous segment of today's show. Clinton Jencks was a decorated war hero who adopted as his own the Mexican American fight for equal rights in New Mexico’s mining industry. Norm and Raymond also discuss the climate of fear engendered by the anti-communist crusade in the 1950s under the direction of J. Edgar Hoover.
