Swing & Country announces the first ever world-wide sing along on Saturday, August 15th 8:30am on KBOO.fm

I've never been a religious person, but after visiting the Hank Williams museum I know what is like to visit sacred sites where a great secular religion called country music sprang up to give hope to the hopeless and create a world out of dreams, hard work and talent. Nashville represents the epicenter of country music but its liberating spirit is free ranging and international. It exists in the honky-tonks of Bakersfield, the mountains of Southwest Virginia and the cowboy bars of Sweden.

KBOO Swing & Country is proud to sponsor the first ever world-wide sing along on Saturday August 15th at 8:30am Pacific time on KBOO.fm. It is estimated that up one billion people could be tuning in to sing along to "Hey Won't You Play Another Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song."

Tell your friends, tell your neighbors, tell your enemies to tune in to KBOO.fm (or 90.7 on local airwaves) on Saturday morning and sing along to a real hurtin' song about a love that's gone wrong. Let's have a little world harmony for three minutes and twenty seconds. The only cost of entry is an open mind and a willingness to see beyond stereotypes and preconceptions.

Additionally, we will be giving away from a pair of Swing & Country shirts to the listener who is tuning in from farthest away. So if you are listening from Zanzibar, Barclay Square, Brooklyn Heights or anyplace, post your location during the show and you may win some cool stuff.
