Host Ed Goldberg interviews Portland mystery author Phillip Margolin about his latest book, Supreme Justice, a novel of murder and conspiracy at the surpeme court.
 
Phillip Margolin grew up in New York City and Levittown, New York. He has been a Peace Corps volunteer in Liberia, West Africa, a junior high school teacher in the South Bronx, a law clerk for Herbert M. Schwab, the Chief Judge of the Oregon Court of Appeals and a Portland lawyer specializing in criminal defense at the trial and appellate levels. He has been writing full time since 1996. In addition to novels, Margolin has published short stories and non-fiction articles in magazines and law journals.

 

Since 1996, he has been the President and Chairman of the Board of Chess for Success, a non-profit charity that uses chess to teach study skills to elementary and middle school children in Title I schools.
