As Portland sees an increase in local police violence, it is important to consider the broader context of modern state repression. The Ad Hock committee to connect the dots is taking on this challenge by organizing a one day mini-conference called Raze The Walls on October 3rd, rom 3pm to 6pm, to take place on the Portland State University Campus, room 296. The conference seeks to nurture a greater understanding of the connections between policing, prisons and political prisoners.
Tonight on Circle a radio we’ll hear from one of the organizers of the conference, Lydia Barthlow, and we’ll also hear from Ed Mead, Bo Brown, and Marc Cook, members of the George Jackson Brigade, who will be speaking at the conference.
