Everyday Resistance

Bill Resnick interviews Kevin Van Meter who wrote the book Guerrillas of Desire: Notes on the Everyday Resistance and Organizing to Make a Revolution Possible. He is now working as union organizer. In his books and articles Van Meter challenges those who contend that capitalism has been largely successful in domesticating workers, that working class radicalism has been vanquished. Van Meter contends that an examination of the everyday life and work of most people reveals multiple forms of resistance that can be the springboard for building the movements needed to transform this country.
