Air date:
Fri, 03/13/2026 - 5:30am to 7:00am

Join us for Cascadia Coffeehouse this Friday morning when we'll celebrate the upcoming arrival of St. Patrick's Day with some Celtic-flavored favorites in the second half of the show, including from the legendary bands Solas (in concert at The Alberta Rose Theatre on March 29th) and Dervish (also at The Alberta Rose Theatre on April 29th).  We'll also hear gems from Paul Brady, Cara Dillon, Karan Casey & John Doyle, Dick Gaughan, Andy Irvine, Amelia Hogan, Liz Carroll and others.  Stay tuned for our Folk Calendar at around 6:30 when we'll let you know about some exciting concerts and events coming to the area in the next couple of months, including several special events on St. Patrick's Day - Tuesday March 17th.

Tune in to KBOO's Folk Strip each weekday morning from 5:30am to 7am for a wide variety of our favorite folk & roots music, lovingly curated by about a dozen volunteer programmers from the community.  You can also find show playlists and listen to previously-aired shows on demand any time via our website and free mobile app.

Please help us spread the word about folk & roots music on KBOO by telling your friends and neighbors when and how they can listen, and drop us a line anytime at cascadiacoffeehouse@gmail.com.  Thanks so much for your support!

Hi Dan - It's Andy O'Hara and I'm looking forward to listening to your show on Friday. I dig Irish music and can't wait. I also have two things to ask:
1) May I use your penultimate paragraph (or at least, the gist of it and I can reword it) as a part of my episode page when I post it on the KBOO website? If not, no worries, but it hits all the right notes as a promotional part of your page. 2) I see you have a gmail account for folks to contact you. Is that cool with KBOO? Or do the KBOO higher ups want us to use a KBOO email? I ask this because I'm always interested in getting listener feedback, biut I don't know the best way to do it. Thanks and take care, Andy
