Radio Havana warns of war buildup

I'll be back broadcasting this Thursday; I've been following the naval buildups versus Tehran and Pyongyang.  The war rhetoric is cranking up as well.  With the hurricane season threatening to wash oil all over the US Gulf Coast, the oligarchy is no doubt crying for a diversion.

Havana, June 25 (RHC) The Revolution Leader, Fidel Castro, reiterated his warnings about a United States invasion against Iran.

In his written reflections entitled ¨How I Wish I Were Wrong,¨ he expressed that while millions of people all over the world are caught up paying attention to the World Cup, it should be asked how many people know that twenty North American naval ships approached the Iranian coast from the Suez canal in the last few days. The Cuban Revolution Leader wrote ´´ This movement of the Yankee naval forces is accompanied by Israeli military ships, carrying equally sophisticated weaponry, intended to supervise any vessel involved in the import or export of commercial products required by the Iranian economy for its operations.¨

Fidel Castro expressed his opinion that wars against both Iran and against the Peoples´ Republic of Korea, or North Korea, will be waged. He wrote ¨ Now, it’s a matter of calculating when the American and Israeli naval forces will be deployed off the coasts of Iran joining the aircraft carriers and other US military ships already there on watch in the region. The war in Iran will immediately spark off that of Korea. The leadership of North Korea, which was accused of sinking the ‘Cheonan’ and which knows only too well that that ship was sunk by a mine attached to its hull by the Yankee intelligence services, will not miss a second to act as soon as Iran is attacked.¨ Cuban Revolution Leader Fidel Castro finished his written reflections by saying ¨I wish I were wrong.¨
