QDoc Film Festival

KBOO is a proud co-sponsor of QDoc: Portland's Queer Documentary Film Festival

When: June 3-6th, 2010

Where: Clinton Street Theatre - 2522 SE Clinton St

Website: www.queerdocfest.org

About the Festival:

QDoc is the first and only festival in the United States - and only the second in the world devoted exclusively to Queer Documentaries. Each year for four days the community has the opportunity to come together and explore issues of importance to the relationship with one another and society at large. QDoc shows films that creatively and energetically engage the core issues of queer identity - politics, history, culture, family, aging, and coming out issues, queer diversity, and sexuality.

QDoc is brought to you by Russ Gage and David Weissman. Russ has over 15 years experience coordinating festivals including the San Francisco International Lesbian and Gay Film Festival, the oldest and largest LGBT Film Festival in the world, and the Portland International Film Festival. David has been a filmmaker (and film festival participant) for over 25 years, and is best known for his award winning feature documentary, “The Cockettes" (2002)
