Climate change, wide-spread drought, and the coming food crisis: A discussion with Michael Klare

Join us for a discussion with Michael Klare, professor of peace and world security studies at Hampshire College. Michael's articles are regularly published at TomDispatch.com. His latest book is The Race for What’s Left.

We'll be discussing Michael's latest article: The Hunger Wars in Our Future -- Heat, Drought, Rising Food Costs, and Global Unrest.

The extreme heat being experienced across large parts of the US is impacting crops, and will ultimately impact our food supply.  This is a scene happening around the world.  How can we respond to the threat of global food shortages, and food prices for staples sharply increasing?

Call in with your questions for Michael at 503-231-8187.
