Bread and Roses welcomes Pacific Northwest author, Jennie Shortridge, on the eve of publication of her fifth novel, Love Water Memory.
Waking up knee-deep in the San Francisco Bay with no understanding of how she got there, Lucie Walker discovers she has no memories of her past or her fiancé. Diagnosed with a rare form of amnesia, dissociative fugue, Lucie returns to her previous life in Seattle and attempts to find the path from past to present. Lucie finds herself falling back in love with her fiancé just as he seems to be falling out of love with her.
Jennie and her publisher, Gallery Books-Simon and Schuster, have generously donated hard copies of the new novel to be offered as thank you gifts during KBOO’s spring membership drive.
