Originally known as "the Hillbilly Heartthrob" and "the Singing Sheriff", Faron Young was one of the most popular and colorful honky tonk singers to appear on the country music scene in the wake of Hank Williams death. His combination of grit and polish resulted in a streak of hit songs through the 50's and early 60's. Tune in Saturday September 26th as we look back at Faron's early career.
