SNAP Update, history of cheddar, and a new Portland cookbook
There are changes coming to SNAP elegibility at the beginning of 2016. Time limits will be in place for Able Bodied Adults without Dependents (ABAWDs) from the ages of 18-49 affecting the eligibility of over 30,000 individuals in the Portland Metro area. Chris will be talking with Matt Newell-Ching from Partners for a Hunger Free Oregon about the impact of these changes and hunger in Oregon. He'll also be talking with Andrew Barton, co-author of the new cookbook Myrtlewood: Home Cooking from the Pacific Northwest. To finish the program, he'll talk with Gordon Edgar about his new book, Cheddar: a Journey to the Heart of America's Most Iconic Cheese.
